Mckenzie Johnson, LCMHC

Qualifications

Mckenzie Johnson is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) with over 15 years of experience, practicing independently in the state of North Carolina. During her master’s program, she completed a 900-hour internship and 180-hour practicum, which included providing individual and group counseling services to patients at a Baker Act-receiving, psychiatric facility in Winter Haven, Florida. Following the completion of graduate school, she became an associate-level counselor (LCMHCA) within the state of NC, where she provided therapy within both the office and community setting to individuals, couples, and families.

Mckenzie founded MindHaus in 2020 to join the fight in erasing the stigma associated with mental health within the black and brown communities. She also hopes to teach individuals that something does not necessarily have to be “off” in order to begin therapy.
